About Tullyallen & Mountnorris

Rooted in Christ. Serving Our Community.

One Church Family

Tullyallen and Mountnorris are two Presbyterian congregations united in one ministry and one heart for the gospel.

Each week we gather to worship God, sit under the preaching of His Word, and encourage one another to live as daily disciples of Jesus.

Though we meet in two locations, we are united in purpose and committed to serving Christ in this community.

Our Mission

The people of God advancing Christ’s kingdom by encouraging and serving others.

To be a welcoming church family of all ages, growing in love for God and care for one another.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and our final authority.

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.

We exist to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

A Shared History

Our story began in 1742, when Presbyterian families in this area were granted permission to establish a local congregation. In 1790, two meeting houses developed in Tullyallen and Mountnorris, and for many years the congregations worshipped separately, each served by faithful ministers and elders. In 1921, they reunited under shared ministry while continuing to gather in both locations. Across generations, God has been faithful, and today we continue that witness, seeking to honour Christ in this time and in this place.

Church Leadership

Our congregations are overseen by our minister and Kirk Session. Together they provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and prayerful oversight of church life.

Rev. Nigel Reid

Rev. Reid has served Tullyallen and Mountnorris since 2007. His ministry is centred on faithful preaching, pastoral care, and helping the church grow in its love for Christ and His Word.

Life in the Church

Church life extends beyond Sunday worship. Through children’s and youth ministry, Bible study, prayer gatherings, music, fellowship, and community activities, we seek to grow together in faith and service.

There are opportunities for every age and every stage to be involved and to serve.
